A broadband social tariff offers a discounted price for those receiving qualifying benefits. An additional benefit to our broadband social tariff is customers will not be charged for Early Termination Fees if you switch or cancel your toob essentials service.

To qualify for toob’s social tariff broadband, you must be receiving one of these benefits:
You’ll need to provide some personal information when you order so we can confirm with the Department for Work and Pensions that you’re eligible for toob’s social tariff. We’ll process this information in accordance with toob’s privacy policy, which you can find at toob.co.uk/legal.
toob essentials is also only available in the areas highlighted on the map above. Specifically, these areas are Aldershot, Ash Vale, Blackwater, Camberley, Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh, Fareham, Farnborough, Fleet, Frimley, Gosport, Lee-on-the-Solent, Locks Heath, Mytchett, Portchester, Southampton, Waterlooville, Woking, and Yateley.
We’ll need your first name, last name, date of birth and postcode, along with your consent to check with the Department for Work and Pensions that you are receiving one of the listed benefits.
The name and address used for the check will need to be the same as those used to place your toob essentials order, whether you’re applying as a new or existing customer. We will run a check with the Department for Work and Pensions every 12 months with these details and let you know the result of our checks via email.
No, we don’t run credit checks for you to join any of our contracts.
Yes, you can leave toob essentials at any time, whether you are cancelling or moving to another of our contracts.
If you wish to cancel your service, then you can do so by giving us a call on 023 9300 9300. Please give us at least 7 days’ notice before your next bill date. Your service will end at the end of your current billing period.
When you’ve cancelled your service, we ask that you leave your equipment connected and in position on the wall.
You can continue on toob essentials after the eligibility check as long as you are receiving at least one of the listed benefits. If not, you can choose from one of our other home broadband contracts or leave at any time with no Early Termination Fees by giving us at least 7 days’ notice before your next bill date.
We will contact you with your options by email and you’ll have plenty of time to decide what to do next. If no action is taken, you’ll be moved to our 1 month rolling home broadband contract with 900 Mbps speeds. For the latest prices, please see our changes and fees document at toob.co.uk/legal.
If your circumstances change and you are no longer receiving one of the listed benefits when we re-check with the Department for Work and Pensions, then we’ll let you know your available options.
If we are unable to contact you or you take no action, you will move to our 1 month rolling home broadband contract, but we’ll give you 30 days’ notice of this. You can cancel this contract at any time without Early Termination Fees.

If you’re already a customer and receiving one of the listed benefits, you can move to toob essentials home broadband by giving us notice at least 7 days before your next bill date to switch your contract. You won’t be charged an Early Termination Fee.
