Most traditional ‘fibre’ broadband sold today is a part full-fibre connection that only runs to the cabinet in your street. From there, it uses old and outdated copper lines to deliver broadband to your address. This wreaks havoc on broadband connectivity as copper is more prone to faults and interference, and worse of all, broadband speeds decrease the further you are from the street cabinet. So, with standard fibre, your neighbour might get faster speeds than you just because they live closer to the cabinet!

In some areas we’ve partnered with industry wholesaler CityFibre to be able to bring our ultrafast broadband service to more of England and Scotland via their infrastructure.

To ensure we can continue to deliver an outstanding broadband service to our customers, from 21st April 2026, all new and re-contracting customers will have an annual price increase. This will be a fixed price increase and will be clearly set out at the point of sale with no hidden fees to worry about. As of April 2026, our annual £2 price increase is one of the lowest increase rates in the telecoms industry (source: Uswitch).

Existing customers who ordered prior to 21st April 2026 will not see price increases within their minimum contract period.

One Touch Switch is available for most home broadband and toob Essentials customers. You should be the account holder with your current provider and already at the address you’re ordering for (with a live service). You can opt to use One Touch Switch when ordering online or with an agent.
