33 new towns and cities to benefit from toob and CityFibre partnership

toob full-fibre broadband has announced its latest expansion, branching out to 1.1 million more homes across 33 new towns and cities. This latest deployment will see homes across England and Scotland benefit from toob’s full-fibre connectivity through its strategic partnership with industry wholesaler CityFibre.

Since 2019, toob has expanded its network and customer base, initially providing service across England and now in Scotland, serving over 60,000 customers on its own network and over 40,000 through CityFibre. This latest expansion includes locations such as Aberdeen, Blackpool, Bolton, Clacton-on-Sea, Crawley, Chester, Dundee, Edinburgh, Elderslie, Johnstone & Paisley, Gateshead, Glasgow, Great Wakering, Halifax, High Wycombe, Horsham, Hartlepool, Inverness, Middlesbrough, North Tyneside, Newcastle upon Tyne, Plymouth, Preston, , Rochford, Rochdale, Sudbury, Southend-on-Sea, St Helens, Stirling, Stratford-upon-Avon, Sunderland, Wakefield, Worcester, and Weston-super-Mare.

This deployment of toob’s broadband service will increase accessibility and digital inclusion in these areas through its affordable, high-speed connectivity using CityFibre’s cutting-edge fibre technology. This full-fibre connection delivers faster, reliable speeds, no matter the time of day, directly into the home unlike traditional copper broadband. The full-fibre network promises the residents of all 33 locations 12x faster download and 48x faster upload speeds than the UK average (Source: Ofcom 2023).

toob’s service also includes a no in-contract price rise promise, which means the price agreed on sign up will remain the same throughout the contract duration. toob believes full-fibre broadband should be available for all and not just the few, so despite the challenging economic climate, toob’s price remains as reliable as its service.

The multi-award-winning full-fibre broadband provider, which is based in the South of England, was recently named fourth in The Sunday Times 100 Tech Britain’s fastest-growing private technology companies list and voted Best Provider in the Midlands, East and South East of England by Broadband Genie.

Nick Parbutt, toob CEO and Founder, said: “The latest expansion of toob’s full-fibre broadband marks a significant milestone for us. By expanding our reach across 33 more communities throughout England and Scotland with CityFibre, we’re making our ultrafast 900 Mbps service accessible to even more households.

“We’re proud to deliver exceptional value and our accelerated growth reflects the trust our customers place in us, as well as our commitment to providing high-quality service at an affordable price.”

Emma Goodwin, Sales Director of Consumer ISPs at CityFibre, said: “It’s great to see toob growing with us and extending their footprint across the CityFibre network. This expansion will bring full fibre connectivity to even more homes, helping to unlock faster speeds and greater reliability.
