Residents in Fareham now have the opportunity to connect to a brand new full-fibre broadband network that has been built in the town. toob’s service is now available to order in parts of Fareham as part of our £7m investment which will reach over 19,000 premises across the town.

toob’s fibre-to-the-premise (FTTP) network delivers superior broadband to residents, as fibre optic cables are connected directly to the premises rather than the traditional fibre broadband connection via fibre-to-the-cabinet, then old copper cables to the premises. CEO and founder of toob, Nick Parbutt said:

“At toob we want all members of the Fareham community to benefit from all that full-fibre can bring, so we provide all our customers with 900 Mbps at only £25 per month. We firmly believe the deployment of full-fibre networks is an economic and social necessity and the current challenges we are facing only reinforces our view”.

toob’s FTTP network provides residents with a faster, more reliable internet connection at an affordable rate, which is crucial during this period of broadband provider price rises:

We are also proud to be one of the few broadband providers with a no in-contract price rises policy that will provide Fareham residents with the peace of mind that with toob, their bills will remain the same for the length of their contract. I am delighted that we can bring the benefits of full-fibre broadband to more families, businesses and communities in the area.”

toob’s network rollout began in Southampton in 2019 and is continuing to sweep across the South, with Gosport and Lee-On-The-Solent next on the list. Tens of thousands of residents in Portsmouth also have the opportunity to benefit from toob’s full-fibre broadband. In Portsmouth, toob has partnered with CityFibre to provide its broadband service.

Fareham resident Ethan said:

Absolutely over the moon that I can get toob! Everything’s far too expensive these days, my Virgin Media bill being one of them, so faster broadband at a cheaper price is a breath of fresh air! With my partner working shifts and often online gaming when I work from home, these speeds are going to make such a difference too”.
