With fifteen categories, the UK Fibre Awards are ‘open to entries from Altnets, carriers, ISPs, contractors, and Advisors including M&A, legal, planning, and regulatory’ and are well respected in the industry. Following a very successful awards ceremony last year, the popularity of the UK Fibre Awards has grown rapidly, with fibreprovider.net reporting a 140% increase in entries for the 2023 awards.  

 For this year’s awards, toob has been selected as a leading business that ‘focuses on overcoming the challenges of designing and constructing full-fibre networks in urban areas’ for the Best Urban Fibre Provider nomination. To choose the category winner, the judges will look at how nominees ‘recognise the most impactful rollout in terms of going above and beyond to deliver wide-scale digital transformation.’  

This shortlisting reflects our commitment to helping communities access the digital world, and through our expansion within urban areas, toob’s focus on digital accessibility is an essential move toward digital inclusion for everyone in the UK. Being selected in this category also nods toward toob’s expansion across our existing urban areas of Southampton City and Camberley and into new urban areas, including Aldershot, Fareham, Farnborough, Blackwater, and Frimley.  

 Our second category for nomination is the Overall Fibre Provider award, which means that toob has been selected as one of the overall leading companies in the industry. The award is designed to ‘recognise the broad achievements of a UK altnet, reflecting their success in driving full-fibre, their agility and scalability, future growth potential and overall evolution of the business as an industry-leading light.’ This nomination is a very welcome recognition of our team’s hard work to deliver a reliable full-fibre network with one affordable offer of £25 a month for 900 Mbps download and upload speed. Being shortlisted in this category reflects the work toob has dedicated to expanding our network rapidly across all areas, leading to our largest growth year to date.

 Expansion across our locations has worked alongside our industry-first agreement with CityFibre to move our network to new heights, tripling the number of premises that can now access toob. This has led to the rapid growth of our team, and our dedication to customer service means we have an ‘Excellent’ rating on Trustpilot. We’re always working to deliver high speed connectivity for individuals, businesses, and communities so that they can fully participate and thrive in a digital world, and the growth of our network is central to this.
