UK broadband provider toob today announced it is bringing its full-fibre broadband to Portsmouth, partnering with CityFibre, the UK’s largest independent full-fibre platform. The partnership will see tens of thousands homes across Southsea, Fratton, Milton, Eastney, Copnor and Burrfields have access to toob’s full-fibre broadband from today.

Customers will be able to benefit from download and upload speeds of 900 Mbps, receiving a better service to improve their working from home life, gaming, streaming and general internet connection. Enabling residents to become better connected for only £25 a month and no in-contract price rises.

toob will be using CityFibre’s full-fibre network to deliver this service. With CityFibre’s network, fibre optic cables are connected directly to the home, rather than traditional broadband providers that deliver internet via old copper cables to the premises. This network promises residents a faster, more reliable internet connection, and with toob at an affordable rate.

To celebrate the partnership, the Spinnaker Tower will be lit up with toob’s brand colours throughout November. The announcement follows toob’s recent expansion of its own network build into Gosport, Lee-on-the-Solent and Aldershot, continuing the broadband providers growth across the South of England.

CityFibre are continuing to roll out their £32m full-fibre network investment and anticipate covering almost every premise in Portsmouth. The partnership between toob and CityFibre will provide toob’s customers with 15x faster download speeds and 68x times faster upload speeds2 than the UK average, all for £25 a month across the Portsmouth area.
