full-fibre broadband provider toob has donated its 900 Mbps service to the Greater Rushmoor Nepali Community centre

toob full-fibre broadband has donated its ultrafast 900 Mbps service to the Greater Rushmoor Nepali Community (GRNC) centre in Aldershot.

Founded in 2003 and located on Victoria Road, the GRNC offers support, induction programmes for new arrivals and English language sessions, and collaborates closely with the Gurkha Welfare Advice Centre, Rushmoor Borough Council, and other local and regional organisations.

The centre also runs many community-led projects, including Project Together: a scheme supporting Nepali residents in overcoming language and digital barriers, an induction programme for new arrivals to the Aldershot area, and wellbeing classes.

toob’s broadband donation provides a reliable and ultrafast connection to the Hampshire-based centre. This accessible wi-fi connection offers Nepali community members speeds of 900 Mbps – further supporting digital inclusion, easy communication with family and friends in Nepal, and access to online services.

Nick Parbutt, toob CEO and Founder, said: “The Greater Rushmoor Nepali Community provides essential support to residents in Aldershot and it’s a privilege to be able to donate our service to the centre.

“At toob, we believe everyone should have access to a fast and affordable broadband connection, and this contribution will help bridge the digital divide for many in the community.”

Gary Ghale, Trustee of GRNC, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to receive toob’s broadband.

“Before, we didn’t have the right broadband to cater for those who use the centre so this donation will allow people to connect with family and friends in Nepal and benefit them during inductions, English language lessons and wellbeing sessions.”

toob has a history of community support and feels strongly about continuing this work. Over the years, the full-fibre provider has supported many charitable organisations through fundraising, events and sponsorships. toob has also installed its full-fibre broadband at vital hubs including the Community Grub Hub in Aldershot, and scout groups and youth centres across its locations.
