all aboard the toob gaming bus

21st September 2021

toob are incredibly excited to announce that we are supporting Southampton’s brand new, vibrant street festival – Re:Claim!

The occasion, which aims to become a free annual community event, features music, sports, arts, gaming and more, with activities stretching across the city centre from Carlton Place down to Westquay Esplanade. Street performances and sensory domes are also planned to take place in Guildhall Square, Above Bar Street, Westquay, East Park and Palmerston Park.

We are fully supportive of Southampton’s diverse creativity at the event on Saturday 25th September 2021, and have partnered up with event organisers GO! Southampton to bring you an incredible toob Gaming Hub!

The hub will be set up on The Esplanade, Westquay with a plethora of free gaming fun for the whole family to enjoy. Set over two floors, the toob gaming bus provides the avid gamer with a unique experience. From modern to retro classics, racing rigs and virtual reality experiences, there are dozens of gaming stations to be played in our dedicated space.

Feeling lucky? Sign up at the hub and try your hand at our ‘open to all’ Rocket League competition! We’ll be taking registrations between 10am – 2pm, with the elimination rounds kicking off from 2pm – 4pm. There are prizes for the first to third place winners from an xBox Series S to headsets and controllers; open to any experience level. More information on how to win one of these exciting prizes can be found here.

Our super friendly team will be on hand on the day to tell you how toob’s broadband could be the difference between suffering a defeat at the hands of a jittery broadband connection or keeping your killstreak going.

While there are lots for teens and young adults, the Re:Claim Street Festival aims to unlock something new in people of all ages. It’s a chance for those that live or work in Southampton to step out of their comfort zones, uncover Southampton’s hidden street culture and enjoy the thrills and vibrancy of the city’s raw talent.

We’re thrilled to be a part of this community event which underpins the city’s dedication to community, diversity and Southampton’s bid to become the UK City of Culture 2025.
