16th July 2025

toob full-fibre broadband has been announced as the official headline sponsor of the 2025 Eastleigh Mela. The event, hosted by The Asian Welfare and Cultural Association (AWCA), will take place at the Leigh Road Recreation Ground on Saturday, 20th July between 11am and 5pm.

toob is proud to sponsor the Hampshire-based event, which is one of the county’s most vibrant cultural festivals. Eastleigh Mela is free to attend and brings people together from all backgrounds to enjoy a fun-filled day of live music, global cuisine and family entertainment.

toob’s headline sponsorship will further embed the provider into the local community, following its broadband roll out in Eastleigh back in 2021 and ongoing support of local projects, including Unity 101 Community Radio.

The provider currently serves over 17,000 homes across Eastleigh and Chandler’s Ford and has invested £7million to date in local area infrastructure, with residents receiving ultrafast 900 Mbps full-fibre broadband for £25 a month on an 18 month contract.

Taking over the bandstand at the Eastleigh Mela, team toob will be on hand to answer any questions about our broadband service and assist attendees who are ready to make the switch to affordable, fast and reliable broadband.

Nick Parbutt, toob CEO and Founder, said:

“We are extremely proud to sponsor the 2025 Eastleigh Mela. This event celebrates culture, community and connection and this sponsorship reflects our ongoing commitment to digital inclusion across the local area and beyond.”

Atiya Akhtar, Co-Chairperson of the AWCA Board of Trustees, said: “We are delighted toob is supporting this year’s Eastleigh Mela. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to community and creating lasting, meaningful connections across the local area.”

toob has a history of community support and feels strongly about continuing this work. Over the years, the full-fibre provider has supported many charitable organisations through fundraising, events and sponsorships. toob has also installed its full-fibre broadband at vital hubs including the Community Grub Hub in Aldershot, and scout groups and youth centres across its locations.

toob employees have taken part in the Great South Run and an open water swim in the Solent, with CEO Nick Parbutt and CFO Mike Banwell also taking on their own extreme challenges by abseiling the iconic Spinnaker Tower and completing a 100km extreme trek in 30 hours, all in the name of charity fundraising.
