Broadband provider toob has been rolling out its full-fibre network and connecting customers to hyperspeed broadband in Southampton since the end of 2019 and toob has now identified the next towns where it will be deploying its network.

Detailed planning has commenced across Hampshire towns Eastleigh and Chandler’s Ford, which represents a further investment of £11 million towards full-fibre networks in the UK in addition to the £50 million already committed to toob’s network build in Southampton and with build activity due to start imminently, the aim is for the first customers in these two new areas to be connected by the end of the year.

Eastleigh and Chandler’s Ford are set to become one of the best-connected towns in the country thanks to Hampshire based broadband provider toob. As toob commences the next stage in the deployment of its brand new full-fibre broadband network, residents will soon be able to enjoy all that comes from full-fibre broadband.

Nick Parbutt, CEO of toob, said “This is another great step in bringing the benefits of full-fibre connectivity to the South of England. It is fantastic to see our network working and delivering the speeds and performance that we expect. With the announcement of our next locations of Eastleigh and Chandler’s Ford, I am delighted that we can bring the benefits of hyperspeed broadband to more families, business and communities.”

Not only is toob committed to maximising the benefits of their brand new full-fibre broadband for Eastleigh and Chandler’s Ford residents, it fully supports bringing the local community together, not only through hyperspeed but through community and fundraising events.”

This year, toob has partnered with the Asian Welfare and Cultural Association (AWCA Eastleigh) and is supporting their annual MELA celebrating cultural fusion in the community. Mohammed Mossaq (OBE), the AWCA’s Mela coordinator and advisor to the Trustees said: “We are thrilled that toob is supporting this year’s Mela. It is wonderful to join hands with a community guided company who are working to improve the digital future of Eastleigh and Chandler’s Ford.”

Thousands of customers in Southampton are already benefiting from the speeds and the increased reliability full-fibre delivers. toob customer and Psychologist, Phine Dahle, added: “Like many people, lockdown forced me into remote working and I needed to be able to carry out client sessions using video conference. As my work is quite often sensitive and certainly confidential, I needed to be able to carry on my day to day as uninterrupted as possible. A strong and fast broadband connection was crucial and thanks to toob, I have been able to do that.”

toob is providing individuals, families and businesses with access to all the benefits that full-fibre can bring for the lowest price in the UK. toob’s broadband provides customers with over 900 Mbps on both download and upload speeds for a price of £25 per month for 18 months.
